Once Upon A Milkshake @ Maxwell Chambers

I chanced upon this place one day and promised to be back. The clean outlook simply appeals...does not hurt when you've got a name so eye-catching and memorable. Sounds like an O.P.I. nail polish eh? A place for milkshakes and ice-cream sounds perfect for an after lunch dessert, fits perfectly in an area where after meals are largely dominated by muffins, avocado smoothies and tapioca kueh.




Sounds like a romantic idea..



No wonder each table had candlelights..does Beauty and the Beast ring a bell?



Loving the whole "stacko" wooden cubes...a cross between marche and one of my favourite games.



Get greeted by a smiley girl over the counter, make your order and wait for it to be churned out. When it gets busy, nearly everyone's order sounds like yours. They could do with a microphone, actually. Over the lunch hour, it's bustling with activity, people taking away milkshakes, dining in...quite good for people watching.

The place is done up almost like a toy box, plastic and wooden chairs with toy blocks to reserve your table. Loved the colour splashes of white and purple, calms the mind quite a bit when you're stealing time away from the office.



Nutty Peanut Butler
Smooth and creamy peanut butter with crunchy peanuts

Mini it is but surely filling. I ended up spooning it from the cup rather than slurp them up using the straw. Sheer decadence with the sloshy blend of milk and ice-cream. The crunchy peanuts were more than welcome. I'm a major peanut butter fan so another dollop of peanut butter would have been ideal. Otherwise, it's a decent peanut butter milkshake..enough to make me drool for the next visit.

I left OUAM happy, somehow. Will be back!
