Sichuan Douhua Nostalgic Feast Revisited @ Park Royal Kitchener Road

sichuan douhua

I like a good buffet, so much so, I like it even more when a revisit is made and the quality is still as good. Here's one for recommendation - the Nostalgic Feast of Sichuan Douhua at Park Royal at Kitchener Road.

I made sure I had repeats of the previous favourites and ate my fill of it, much to the amusement of my fellow foodies. While I will not bore you with the doldrums of a revisit - same food, same good. I shall highlight a few of the rave worthy ones! Otherwise, just enjoy the pictorial that will hopefully leave you licking the screen.

We were just limited to a portion each of these roast meats, mediocre fare methinks.

These could double up as rice dumplings, me like!

Pork Belly Roll with Taro is to die for, 3 steamers worth and I finally called it a day. The way taro and pork belly meld together so beautifully, it still remains a mystery.

Homemade Bean Curd with Wolfberry

Their famous beancurd is a definite must order - exactly what made this famous in the first place and it is a cross between the silken Lao Ban pudding and the soyabean curd I have known all my life.

Portions of the dishes are on the large side and unless you inform ahead of time, you would end up with portions matching the number of diners. Once again, very value for money ala carte buffet with enough options to send everyone into a food coma.

I would still love to be back for more of these yummies! First Visit may be a fluke but a second definitely tells the truth.
