I figure the Europeans rely alot on supermarts for their meal fixes since these are mostly open till late, even later than the cafes or restaurants at least! I found joy in taking a morning walk round the supermart for a whiff of freshly baked breads just to pick up a bottle of water or a bar of chocolate.
Free with every purchase at the supermart down the lane from the Hotel. The mart owners pretty much left it to the customers to help themselves to the table full of goodies. Coffee macarons with such nicely evenly formed shells and rich fillings, I momentarily forgot these were machine made.
A sweet surprise I say!
