Private Event @ NUSS Guild House, Suntec

NUSS Guild House, the equivalent of NTU's One North at Buona Vista. I pride NUSS for its strategic and definitely more accessible location than the latter.

All decorated for a lovely time!

Toy slides and cars for the kiddos to indulge in...kids these days are SO pampered!

Artsy decor.

Decided to play around with the camera whilst waiting for the guests to fill in.

Why not TWG?

It felt somewhat festive.

Thai Seafood Salad

Did not appeal too much.

Indochine Fish Fillets with Chilli Jam

Limp mushy fish cakes.

Sliced Cucumber with Orange Segments

Did not try.

Russian Salad with Egg and Julienne Ham

Julienne Ham, how old school but I never fail to get this whenever I see it though it really is just sliced ham and frozen vegetables.

Wok Fried Beef with Ginger and Scallion

Fried Boneless Pork with Oriental Fruit Sauce

Moderate attempts at these zichar favourites, nothing to shout about.

Seared Russian Cod with Coriander Sauce

Yummy-o-yummy. I've got a thing or two about cream based meats these days. Firm and crispy, only cod seems to get it right. Dory fish tends to be more mush. I got lost in all the refills to note how many times I repeated this.

Braised Vegetable Deluxe

Boiled way too long.

Crispy Chinese Roast Chicken

I liked this enough to return for seconds, delish!

Vegetarian Fried Noodles

Not too bad though rice would have been preferred with all the oriental dishes.

Homemade Tomato Bisque

One of the more memorable tomato soups around, not too sour, not too sweet. I'd confer this my favourite vegetable soup.

Sweet Corn Custard Cake

It really does look like mango cake, does it not? Faint hints of corn in the custard on top an equally soft cake, I actually liked this enough for numerous refills.

Cream puffs that looked far prettier than they taste.

Selection of French Pastries (Cheesecake, Fruit tartlets, Brownies, Cream Puffs)

I love such petite pops, makes dessert seem a whole lot less sinful.

Bubur Terigu with Sago

All the starch probably made me go gaga, decent local dessert...a nice twist to almond jelly or mango pudding.

Assorted Fresh Fruit Bowl

Never say no to fruits.

Overall lunch was an above average affair though food probably was not on the top priority of the kids. View from the top was not too bad...now I just need an NUS alumni to bring me up for lunches.
