Febo (pronounced fay-bo) and Smullers are the two main chains of instant fried croquettes in Amsterdam, very similar to our Old Chang Kee concept just that it is very much D-I-Y, save for a select items like frites, icecream and hamburgers. These instant food shops are located near the main shopping areas, this particular outlet was located 2 streets from Hauptbanof Main Station.

Drop in the exact change and the door opens...voila!
Rundvleeskroket (1,40€)
Translates to Beef croquette!
All the mush inside, there are hardly any real meat but the crispy batter made this a really tasty snack.
Goudgele Frites (1,50€)
Irresistible frites, there is seriously just something about the European frites that distinguish those here...! Or it could really be just the chilly weather and something fried warms up the organs so greatly.
Do try Febo for a taste of authentic Dutch snacks!
