Willy Wonka's Dream: La Belgique Gourmande @ Brussels, Belgium

Euphoria it must have been for every sweet tooth...thinking back, it still evokes the sweetest memories. I figure that is the enchantment of Europe, like labels, their signatures (be it macarons, chocolates, waffles or cakes...) it comes in streets full of it. La Belgique Gourmande belonged to the category that I peeped into, got tempted and walked right in.

The point about temptation is, like a trap...it engulfs you whole.

Chocolatiers with a welcoming draw...just walking around it made me feel on cloud 9.

Pick at your own (pocket's) risk.

And I did. I was never one to cave into temptations at the gummy sweet shops in town or even at 7-11...but the draw of chocolates was a different matter altogether.

Brimming bowls of chocolate bites.

And pick, pick, pick...the bag got filled...in a flash.

Fraise, Cerisette, Rocher, Praline Blanc, Orangette, Batida de Coco

Chocolates for breakfast, lunch and nearly quite dinner. These were smooth and rich and amongst the better of the lot we attempted thusfar.

Amande Mascarpones, Noisettes, Messepain, Crispy Caramels, Amandes Grillees, Nougatines, Amandes Speculoos,  Abricots

These, that would have otherwise cost a huge bomb locally. Nibbling was never this addictive.

Crunchy layers with brow-raising finds within...ranges from apricot, wafer balls, chocolate, cocoa beans...yum!

Warm service dished out only made me more guilty of not lugging back a kilo or two of these babies.
