Shops within Avenue Louise (the equivalent of Orchard Road) closed promptly at 5ish pm leaving us with almost no choice for dinner. Quick is France and Belgium's answer to Mcdonalds.
Boxes in loud pops of colour...makes fast food seem chicer than they are. What amused me was the glaring calorie chart screaming at you to stop eating. Not that it really had an impact on me though.
Big Bacon (4,39€)
On pictures, this was fluffed up and looked a few miles away from this limped-down version. Taste-wise, it was goooooooood. Beef tasted the way it should be...with a beefy bite and certain beefyness about it. Even bacon tasted meatier!
King Fish (4,39€)
A direct opponent to Filet-O-Fish, once again...it arrived looking forlorn but taste won me over. The fish filet tasted as if only real fish was used without additional aid from flour. Meatier, fleshier...since when did junk food taste so good?
This is what I mean by a proper salad. Is Mcdonalds reading this? Apples, lettuce, tomatoes and sesame seeds tossed in vinegarette. A tangy one!
Cheesy Sticks (2,20€)
Fried cheese nuggets with bursts of cream.
Strange or not but the fries were coloured a tad too yellow.
Banana Milkshake (2,30€)
It could be the banana essence or the real bananas...I loved it all the same.
Junk food, redefined. It really sounds odd saying this but junk food probably never tasted better and it took 16,40€ to discover that. Worth a visit if you're there!
