Biscuits @ Crabtree and Evelyn

Previously, Crabtree was known as a toiletries brand to me, every time I walked by their stores I'll wrinkle up my nose. Gradually I fell in love with their delicious handcreams. Last year their Orange Jam got me sitting up and never looking at the brand in the same manner again.

Traditional Cookies, $18

At $18 per tin of 16 cookies, it is a pricey affair. Buttery biscuits generously jammed with ingredients (sultanas, bran and coconut) , found a family of fans. The coconut-y finish was not overbearing but complimented the whole rough texture of the oatmeal and sultanas.

Potentially a jelard affair when the munching does not stop. Even when jam is slapped on, equally satiating. In fact, great for tea...bring out the porcelain china drinkware with colourful posies, fill it up with tea and a plate of such crunchies...laze with a book or two, perfect days are made of these.

White Chocolate and Raspberry, $18

Crumbly and soft, a far cry from the oat. However, absolutely fragrant because of the berries, the white chocolate chips were moderately used. Made in Scotland, as compared to butter and lemon cookies. Not too sure if the Scottish like their biscuits this way but I was not a fan.

Lemon Cookies, $15

These are half the thickness of the other two attempted. Another sweet smelling cookie! These have a better bite than the white chocolate and raspberry despite its thinness. The zesty taste was addictive though it dissolved into an acquired bitter aftertaste.

Of the three, I'm looking at repeats of the Traditional biscuits!
