Kim's @ Maxwell Market

The body works in funny ways, the way we accustom them to habits, routines...and food even. Cereal's always a morning must have on weekdays and oily carrotcake/doughsticks on weekends. Anyhow, it was to Maxwell Market one morning before work..and I joined the queue in true blue Singaporean style!

Pumpkin Cake ($1.20)

I've got a soft spot for all things pumpkin. The coarse texture of pumpkin gave the cake a nice bite, between pumpkin cake and yam cake, I'm more sold on this.

Yam Cake ($1.20)

A bland cake with yam cubes embedded.

Both kuehs have an oily finish but are as yummy. I left for work belly satisfied.

Is this stall's pumpkin kueh good? I saw your Dunman's Ah Yee's post but it's so far.
