Godiva @ Langham Place, Hongkong

The Godiva visit was made largely to take advantage of the exchange rate...OK, now putting that in print makes me super duper aunti-fied. (What to do! When the economy's not doing well!) Oh well, I was lusting after their ice-cream truffles but they were apparently sold out at the few outlets that I tried.

I've been a huge fan of their chocolates for the longest time, smooth, luxurious, not too sweet yet decadent...nobody does a mean white chocolate as good as Godiva.

Not quite sure why but I found the service at Godiva Hongkong less intimidating, at least the lady over the counter was most friendly and helpful...best of all, all smiles.

Ivory Chocolate with Dark Chocolate Chip (HKD 39)

Another way of plugging vanilla/white chocolate ice...it's "Ivory Chocolate" now! I was slightly disappointed with the vanilla ice...no vanilla beans specks in sight and the ice-cream although smooth was too sweet. The chocolate chip bits were scattered in Ben and Jerry's style, chunky.

Dark Chocolate Decadence Chocolixir (HKD 42)

Godiva 72% Extra Dark Chocolate pieces are blended with rich dark chocolate flavors. The sis gave this thumbs up, a must try for every chocolate addict...an elixir to chocolate heaven indeed. I stole a sip, the thick chocolate milky shake had chocolate shavings too! How very chocolatey!

Mental note to self: Ice-cream truffles when the pay comes in!
