Arteastiq at Plaza Singapura is a great place to car watch and people watch, quite literally given its good location overlooking Orchard Road. Apart from art jamming which they are known for, they offer up all day brunch dining options.
Sweet Potato Fries ($12) Served with Horseradish Aioli
Beijing Dynasty – Crepes Au Canard Confit ($28)
Japanese Cucumber, Duck Confit, Citrus, and Orange Marmalade wrapped in Crepes, served with Pomelo Coulis and Mesclun Salad
Think duck confit deboned in a wrap. Hearty stuff and this was really appetizing with the pomelo coulis.
Allegory of Love – Chicken and Waffles ($16)
Crispy fried Marinated Chicken tossed with Mesclun Salad, Fried Shallots, and Radish in Lemon Vinaigrette, served on Waffles with Maple Syrup
Prima Deli could have set the bar for waffles and I actually like mine slightly soggy but fragrant. This was crispy and bland, and while the chicken and salad looked good on description, it was none of that. Thoroughly bland and disa
British Monarchy – Bangers and Mash ($18)
Chicken Cheese Sausages encased in Mashed Potatoes and Mozzarella, serve with Cream Cheese and Vegetables.
Rightfully mashed potatoes, mozzarella and chicken cheese sausages cannot go wrong, I mean they go right individually so why would marrying all of them even lead to a divorce. It was an odd marriage though.
The Royal Princess – Salmon Wellington ($27) S
almon wrapped in Puff Pastry with Mushroom Capers Pate, served with sautéed Asparagus, Cabbages, and Lemon Butter Sauce.
I'm not sure if it's just me or the British inspired dishes did not appeal at all.
French Affection – Ribeye ($32)
280g Black Angus Ribeye served with sautéed Spinach and crispy Sweet Potato Chips
The best of the courses attempted to date with a delicious char and on point sides.
Average fare at Arteastiq, I reckon the art jamming and possibly teas are a better bet.
