I had a brush with service apartments before and somehow the idea resurfaced when we decided to travel as a family of 5.
We were given a top floor for the apartment, so high up we can barely hear any noise.
We booked one that was an entire studio of its own, a decent walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Bukit Bintang. The studio had 2 bedrooms and 1 room with a sofa bed.
A spacious walkway.
1 with a queen sized bed.
Another with a king sized bed.
And a television in the room as well. DVDs could be rented at the reception as well.
Ready to be unfolded though I think it is not the most comfortable sofa bed.
Right smack in the kitchen was the regular instant drinks.
Major love for the in-house spa bath amenities.
Thoughtful drinks in the lobby for the thirsty hotel guests. Lemon water to detox.
Yam juice had a really luscious dark purple shade that made it almost dubious. It was sweet and fragrant.
Breakfast was provided at the lobby part of the room deal. At RM 20++ per head, it was reasonably priced.
The only item that I bothered with from the bread table. Somewhat limp and dry.
Greens are a must every morning.
The live egg station was perpetually crowded and anyone who attempted to stand near it smelt like fried eggs thereafter.
Nothing like a DIY Nasi Lemak from the buffet table. Decently authentic for a buffet breakfast.
Fruits.
We had an enjoyable night's rest and that certainly changed our accomodation preferences for future travels. Nothing beats sitting around in the apartment chilling over tea or coffee instead of being constrained to a hotel room. Breakfast was just adequate, nothing gourmet.
Star Shuttle from the KLIA 2 Airport provides a door-to-door shuttle service to the tune of RM 15 per pax but note that their pickup timings can be really early. Alternatively, taking an LRT from Bukit Bintang to KL Sentral for the regular shuttles at RM 9 are also feasible.
