Their
$1 sliders are only available from Monday – Thursday and I chose a
Friday to visit. How coincidental. Paired with an event going on and a
crowd so boisterous, I could barely hear myself much less attempt to
talk.
Chicken Wings with Special Sauce and Ranch Dressing ($16)
Screams bar food and nothing much worth a mention since they were not even piping hot nor crispy.
Handcut Haystack Fries with Parmesan and Rosemary ($12)
Once again, nothing to shout about this fried number.
Good Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese ($12)
Good
and old fashioned in the same line gives reason for the dish not being
up to expectations. Afterall, who would have tasted the mac and cheese
of the past? That being said, this is a watered down version with a nice
balance of cream cheese, crispy parmesan cheese and macaroni. While I
was not head over heels in love with it, it was delicious enough.
Spicy Linguini with Prawns, Chilli and Garlic ($22)
The noodles were a soggy letdown but the combination of chilli and garlic were appetizing to lift the flavor of the dish.
The Gummiberry ($18)
Gin, Cointreau, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, meringue
This
has become a must order each time I spot it on the menu – best part, it
is universally that delicious. Fruity, sweet and jammy, this is just
the kind of drink I can enjoy all night long without even getting drunk.
Blackforest Mojito ($18)
7 years aged rum, muddled fresh berries, framboise and fresh mint sprigs
Give it a miss if you can, potential medicine caliber.
