An easy to located Hotel from the metro, we nearly missed it because we were too fixated on finding the lane names when it was right smack at the corner.
I had a lovely stay at Hotel Five except for some service glitches that made me question if women are that terrible service providers. We encountered a really helpful gentleman who prepared our breakfast an hour ahead of time just so we could have something to eat before our early train to Venice. The other extremes would then be a sullen female that had issues with refilling beverages or replenishing food.
The spread that greets daily.
Perfect sandwich stuffings.
The trays of cornettos get baked freshly but these are not refillable hence we made a beeline for them every single morning.
Morning staples comprise of a cup of freshly brewed coffee. It is a no brainer why Starbucks would not survive in Italy.
If you think green scrambled eggs are weird, here comes green yolk.
Sesame cornettos were simply too good to ignore. In the 3 breakfasts that we had, I lost count of the number of cornettos we wolfed down.
Cold cuts galore.
Cereal that tastes the same from Rome to Florence and Milan.
Tiramisu cake that was too tempting but I did not have the heart to stomach this for breakfast.
Food aside, we were given adequately sized rooms.
Two beds placed together which meant mattresses that were too soft and bedsheets that were too rough.
Their range of branded amenities.
Overall a comfortable stay and really close by the metro which was a stone's throw away from the main train station. I would caution though that the food options are not that plentiful in the neighbourhood.
