menu

Are you game?

meat platter

WildBrette ($68.50)
Prime cut venison loin, wild boar, venison stew, ox tongue, cranberry orange red cabbage, bacon wrapped fine beans

Portions are supposedly meant for two but I doubt it can fill one without ordering other items. Meant only for the gamey meat lovers and goes well with beer.

beef

Watch them meaty threads!

The gameyness of the wild boar was at some point a tad pungent. My favourite of the lot goes to ox tongue - tender and flavourful!

red cabbage

A different kind of cabbage to pair with the meats.

potato dumplings

More carbs to go with it, potato dumplings in strips made to look like fries.
veal carpaccio

Venison Loin Carpaccio ($18.50)

I've attemped carpaccios in veal and beef and now venison, the dish is overshadowed by the parmesan cheese shavings.

wild mushroo

Wild Chanterelle Mushroom Ragout ($18.50)
Napkin dumplings

I nearly overordered another portion of napkin dumplings to try - imagine them to be large gnocchis. The mushroom ragout would be an quivalent for a thick mushroom soup packed with whole mushrooms.

onion soup

Onion Soup
Cheese Dumpling

dunk

One rich soup because of the cheese dumpling soaking in the onion-laden broth.

cheese sausages

Pork Cheese Sausages

Perfect pub grub and these cheese sausages were worth the sin. Every bite overflowed with cream cheese and just the right balance of savoury.

Pork and Veal Sausages
Pretzel

These pale looking sausages were as bland to taste and swimming in brine. The pretzel however was a delicious dense delight.

saukeraut

Sauerkraut

A must have at every german meal to negate any of the over stuffing that I have been doing the whole meal.

game master

The highlight of the meal had to be the blackjack games the official croupier for the night played with us. Pretty much like a carnival and whether we won or lost, we had a drink to toast to.

drinks

Pick your choice of drink upon winning.

cards

Jagermeister, the official reccomended drink with Wild Game 2013, became our choices for the night. Lethal shots of throat scorching bitter. I say stick with the beers for a friendlier touch.

beer

In their row of famous beers, there's bound to be one that suits your tastebuds.

prost

My beer with mango juice, a light fruity beer great with the food we had!

glasses

A reminder to take a sip with glasses hanging above.

crowds

Packed inside out.

dj

DJ spins on weekends so it turns into a mini pub.
