Magnum cafe's popup store is now located at Vivocity, pretty old news by now and they will be there till November only so make haste while you can before they spread their wings and land elsewhere. It offers both dine in and takeaway options. For DIY magnums, these are only available for takeaway and I joined the queue for the kick of it.
Choose your garnishing from a selection of toppings - not too mind boggling! A server places them in a shaker before the icecream stick gets dipped in chocolate and sprinkled on top.

In its full glory, vanilla icecream stick with white chocolate coating peppered with chocolate crunchies, popping candy and caramel chips and drizzled with chocolate.
Worth the 7 buckeroo price tag? I'm on the fence about it, afterall these are the experiences that make consumers easy to target - I still fall prey to hello kitty shaped mochi at Sanrio Puroland or mickey mouse shaped waffles at disneyland. One can jolly well purchase magnums off the store and head home with your own customizations - right in the comfort of your living room.
Satisfies the inner child, that's really about it. Except popping candy and caramel chips may not be the best combination.
If anything, the savoury items on the menu are quite tempting!
