ADV: Suma Beach Towels and a picnic!

Special thanks to Elaine from Suma for the towels!

Picnics are meant for the bored…not. I have scoffed the idea of one for the longest time mainly because the sun, sand or sea hardly appealed (yes any of the three is not a welcome option). Nonetheless, it took some nudging and a kind sponsor for us to explore this…since heading to the pool with the beach towels was not quite an option (no model to use mainly!). So here’s an alternative usage for these beach towels – so cushy to touch and definitely thick enough to withstand any moisture from seeping through.

Matchy matchy!

towels

Lazy afternoon awaits.

mass

Hordes of people.

blue

I never quite knew how much a kite hotspot is Marina Barrage. The number of picnic gatherings and kite enthusiasts flooded the greenery, occasional tour groups intruding not withstanding. 4pm is perfect for picnic methinks, not too scorching hot nor dark to capture shots.

Long tail this has got!

skies

As the sky grows darker, the tiny specks that dotted the skies...pretty therapeutic watching them!

I had the pleasure of shooting an adorable lil bub enjoying the cushy towels, crawling all over and being the main attention seeker of the group of us, grown ups.

discovering

Matchy pink.

mmm

Tempted by a muffin.

sit

Enjoying the blue towel as well, let me attempt to cross my legs!

intrigued

Great for kneeling too!

hey!

Now, whatcha looking at? The bub seemed to enjoy the towels better than a lift up to the skies.

Cold Storage

ribs

Pork Ribs

I thought little of these as picnic food but they served great. Easy to munch and dispose of. Seasoning was enough not to put me to sleep or deem it too bland.

chicken

Roast Chicken

Comparatively harder to consume so please bring along a scissors to dissect this.

Marks and Spencers

tortilla

Mexican tortillas

Addictive much. These crunchy delights were powdered with a spice rendering this the hottest favourite for this picnic. Finger licking really good and got us wishing there was more to this pack.

cranberry

Cranberry cookies

I’ve long been a fan of this sweet fruity chewy cookie.

molten choc

Chocolate Cookie

Molten chocolate cookie, enough said. Despite not being freshly baked, this was wholesome and definitely hearty.

A friend highly recommended these muffins to me but I hesitated trying them till now.

muffins

Apricot, Apple, Cranberry, Chocolate Banana, Double Chocolate Chips

Incredibly moist muffins without the oily aftertaste because of their “no transfat policy”. I liked them all but found the chocolate lacking in decadence.

choc

Chocolate.

raisin

Raisin.

apple

Apple.

apicot

Apricot.

fruits

Fruit Platter and Drinks

Healthy fix and befitted the whole breezy, relaxing and chill atmosphere of Marina Barrage.

ice

Icebox always so handy.

A loud shoutout and appreciation of thanks to the Wongs for loaning me their precious lil bub, Joanna, for this photoshoot.
