The companion chided me for not patronizing this
hidden café despite staying in the vicinity for as long as it has been
around. They did a revamp of the menu lately and I guess that made the
trip timely. This pet friendly place was packed
with pets and people. Spotted a fair number of silky terriers and other
furballs.

Soup of the Day – Onion and Quinoa Soup ($7.90)
A new addition, this sweet musky tasting soup was
easy to like. Quinoa is delicious on its own but in a soup, needs quite a
discerning tastebud to differentiate. The accompanying bread slices
were a tad too crusty and hard for comfort.
The Garden Slug Mixed Grill ($30.50)
Platter of ribeye steak strips, lamb loin, bratwurst, Real Mash and fresh garden salad
Portion is big enough for the hungry only,
especially fit for the fickle who want abit of everything on their mains
menu. Lambchops were a tad tough, ribeye thankfully better and well
homecooked this really was, nothing too spectacular.
Pulled Pork ($18.90)
I tussled between pulled pork and a burger but the
politically correct server did not make any constructive recommendation.
This braised pulled pork was sweet based, unflavoured potatoes and a
drab looking salad.
