I'm sure there are readers like myself who pledge allegiance to the bright side - white chocolate. Given a choice, I would love to have the best of both worlds.
White Maltesers
$1.20 at ABC shop
Thrilled to bits when I spied these being retailed at the ABC shop, yay to alternatives apart from fleecers like Candy Empire and Candylicious that rips you an arm and leg for such rarities. White chocolate with a crisp honeycomb center - the honeycomb gave this a better bite, rather than a hollow biscuit base. These are by Mars, by the way.
Little did I know even in the realm of chocolate balls, competition is tough as a cookie. I once mistook Whoppers for Maltezers and I was still searching high and low for the strawberry flavoured Whoppers first sighted at Candylicious RWS. Under the umbrella of Hersheys, it is a no brainer why they are exclusively retailed at Candylicious.
Packed in miniature milk cartons, these whopper milk cartons are cute as a button! Strawberry Milkshake ($8) was irresistible.
Tearing open the carton, I was greeted with a waft of strawberry fragrance. Artificial or not, I found the pink balls tres cute.
Biting into one, this was a crumblier texture as compared to the maltesers. Malt-based as opposed to honeycomb. Me liking maltesers better, somehow. Well..cute can only go so far...right?
Spied Reese's Peanut Butter flavoured whoopers on sale at Candylicious - $4 a box and headed straight for the cashier's. I do suspect I am a closet peanut butter junkie somehow. Reese's are like a secret lover, creeps onto you silently and whacks you hard with an addiction.
Let's hope more flavours come to our shore soon!

OMG! Reese peanut butter Whoppers!? I'm gonna get some from Candylicious! Tried Whoppers once before, still prefer Maltesers milk chocolate! hehe I think your ABC white chocolate Maltesers may be made in Indonesia.
