The Pigeonhole @ Duxton Road

With Group Therapy Cafe hosting a private dating event and me completely forgetting their weekday early shut hours, the company and I were left stranded without a place for dessert. The next best alternative? The Pigeonhole located merely doors away - not too rowdy for the little tot who was following us around.

The place was packed and I'm not too sure if the cafe is self service or not. For the group of us, we had to head to the counter to make our orders but the Mom in the group had hers taken at the table.

tiramisu

Tiramisu ($11)

Served in glasses, this tiramisu had alot more cream than usual tiramisus, sponge was exceptionally soggy as well. Would pass of as chocolate sponge more than rum-soaked sponge fingers and mascarpone.

bread butter

Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding ($8)

Clever usage of croissants and custard with chocolate, not a fan of either somehow. To begin with, not a fan of bread and butter pudding so this was not exceptional for me.

pigeonhole

The quirky bits.

The Pigeonhole may be the place to sit and laze around with a book in hand but did not quite work for me being a place to chill and yak the night away.

  1. woah...i was there during mid morning on weekday 3-4 mths ago, the bread butter pudding was only S$6.50 back then, seems like the food prices hiked up quite a bit..yeah,i don't know why this cafe doesn't really come to my mind for a chillax time at all after the 1st visit :)

  2. probably got too popular for them to maintain it at $6.50! Possibly the whole arrangement and lack of food choices..would prefer group therapy anyday!
