Cheong Fun or Chee Cheong Fun is my yardstick for the quality of dimsum.
These are either too pasty, too stiff or too soft.
I actually like them silken melt-in-your-mouth soft.
Fresh Chee Cheong Fun's are made on the spot, hence the waiting time.
Each is painstakingly rolled out paper thin, ingredients are folded in before getting cut up for consumption.
Easy as it sounds, the cook has to tolerate high temperatures from the stove with each cheong fun.
Immeasurable passion, I look at her in awe.
You know when they say passion can be tasted?
It certainly is so with their soft as silk rice rolls.
Scallops were bouncy and fresh.
Char Siew was a better option.
Throw in a dash of fried spring onions and chilli, this would be divine.
$3, Scallop
$2, Char Siew
