Texas Chicken @ Tampines Mall

Once upon a time there used to be just KFC ruling the fastfood scene for fried chicken..then came Popeye's, Texas Chicken and Arnold's. Of course, for the diehards there is Marry Brown across the sea and Jolli Bee across some thousand of miles.



Located on the top most floor of Tampines Mall, Texas Chicken is hard to miss.

1 Tender
2 Nuggets

Chicken drumstick was firm and juicy. Despite requesting for spicy, these were barely fiery.

Tender was dryer in taste and somewhat bland.

Nuggets were godsent...real chicken meat without the fillers like how Mcdonalds does them.


Mashed Potato

Nobody does them like KFC, this was alot more watered down...the mash was more water than potato.

Honey Butter Biscuit

Popeye's caused more than a ripple when they introduced butter biscuits to their menu. Texas Chicken has the equivalent with a cookie-like pastry - honey glaced edges meets insanely soft cake-like cookie. 

Another to strike off the list of to-try, I'm now left with Arnold's to complete the chicky picture. Not too sure if I am a fried chicken fan at all.
