I didn't think I would return to Cafe Iguana under the circumstance of looking for dessert...! And it wasn't even for their famous margaritas. I'll always remember Cafe Iguana for their prices that end with 99 cents which was a perfect case study for the Marketing module then. Years later, they obviously have scraped that though the menu remains largely similar.

Banana Chimichanga ($14)
Deep fried flour tortilla filled with bananas and served with caramel and strawberry sauce and avocado ice-cream
Deepfried springrolls, I described them before these were served. I suppose tortillas are usually eaten baked not fried and frying them made it like goreng pisang, the mexican way. Did not fancy the floury aftertaste that much. Strawberry sauce made this queerer than queer.
Avocado icecream was lauded their signature.Coming to that, it had a rich creamy finish but with a taste I cannot quite pinpoint to. I love my avocado milkshakes the same way I love avocado in my california makis but avocado icecream...odd.
At long last, the chimichangas were polished off. Not the bestest way to have dessert, I still prefer my chimichangas savoury, thank you.
