Cold Stone Creamery @ Orchard Central

I finally found the chance to head to Cold Stone Creamery - No queues, minimum waiting time...hooray! It was entirely by fluke I can even find a seat at this latest icecream parlour that has converted many fans. Hailing from the US of A, it has been creating much buzz. Theatrics seem to be high on the agenda on the minds of the folks behind Cold Stone. Your ball of icecream gets tossed in mid-air first before slammed on the cold rock for mixing in of ingredients...and before you finally get your icecream, the ball gets another somersalt high up before landing so precisely into your waffle cup.

PHEW.

More drama than that Turkish icecream man can ever give you.

That explains the insane queues - imagine every single cup of icecream has to go through the motion before leaving the counters.

Their daily freshly made icecreams come in three different sizes; Like It™, Love It™  and Gotta Have It™.

Apple Pie A La Cold Stone
French Vanilla, Cinnamon, Graham Cracker Pie Crust, Apple Pie Filling, Caramel

Ok, to cut the long icecream story short...I was not entirely wowed by it.

Milkier than the rest?...just moderately so.
Chewy texture? Slightly.
I wish there were more apples to make this apple pie a wholesome one.
The waffle bowl was delish alright but that was just it.

No fireworks, no jawdropping awesomeness...simply icecream with a whole lot more fuss. I figured I would be more satiated with a vanilla bean cone and my Mcdonalds' apple pie.

  4. Haha I went thrice already but haven write about it. No rush cos the standard.. really not there. lolx.

I agree with you on the apple bits, and the milky-ness pretty much overwhelmed whatever cinnamon taste there was.. I'm quite sure the Apple Pie was more yummy in Taiwan, or even Bangkok!
