Beverage vending machines

Vending machines in Japan are as ubiquitous as heavily masacara-ed lashes. Common, is an understatement. Every turn, down the alley...every train station, you'd find at least one vending machine that churns out drinks or food or books.

Hot Red Bean Drink (120 Yen)

I was most piqued to try this out. Hot red bean soup, or so it seemed from the vending machine. Slotting in 120 yen worth of coins, I was surely expecting a cold drink, this came out warm! A warm drink dispensed. Red bean soup infact, miles away from the homecooked but this was suffice for the cold weather. Complete with whole red beans, I'd say their efforts to replicate were less outstanding here though I was completely impressed with my warm can drink.

Yes you read it right, hot canned beverages churned out from a vending machine that also churns out chilled ones. Perfect for winter! There was a choice of corn or red bean. I liken this to a thick red bean soup complete with whole red beans but the aftertaste was acquired. Still prefer a bowl of homecooked red bean soup to this but hey! It's freezing and a can of this could quell the freeze quite abit!

Meiji Fruit Juice (100 Yen)

It tastes different, albeit being fruit punch. The lovely aroma from fruit juice, can't pinpoint exactly what but this fruit juice was extra refreshing.

I wish I could try every single drink in the vending machines that I walked past but...there's always 10,000 other things I want to try as well.
