Not too long ago there was Ben and Jerry's Chunkfest at Marina Promotory, read: in the middle of nowhere that required chartered buses to bring you there from a smatter of locations. For the first time ever, I boarded the otherwise known as Hippo Tour Bus with an overly chatty foreigner for a guide. The oddity of it was matched by her over enthusiasm in taking photos for everyone and asking the obviously disinterested bus crowd to cheer on Ben and Jerry's Chunkfest.
I was impressed with the frequent opening and shutting of chiller doors, my icecream actually was scooped without much fuss and thankfully not milkshake-material. Boston Cream Pie with cake, chocolate chips and cream though this could pass off as vanilla. Trust the Ben and Jerry folks to pack it with so much sugar, the kidneys are yelling stop. A tad sweet but loved the chewy texture...under the sweltering heat...I can only say it was godsent.
Hoping to see this flavour sold in stores!
Ben and Jerry's
Note: Chunkfest and Free Cone Day are two very separate as chalk and cheese, I was deluded and so was the buses load of people. Nonetheless, I had a good time soaking up the BNJ spirit of fun! Pity the weather was over the top kind of hot, else the Promotory was really a good alternative for kite flying and picnicing.
12 unreleased flavours, holy geesus lucky. :)
Join the queue in hungry fashion.

You went all the way there & had only 1 flavor?! I would have downed at least 6 scoops! (:

heheheh *OOPS* Honestly, the only times I'm ever game for "let's try all the flavours" are when I'm abroad! Hardly have the impulse in SG.
ReplyDeleteShould've voted for my boston cream pie! darn.
The voted flavour sounds mad delish already, my fridge is yelling at me. ;p
