It was meant to be a catchup over World Cup but we were in for a lovely surprise...a gorgeous fireworks display from One Fullerton.
We were lucky to nab seats at Overeasy for dinner considering we booked 4 days in advance!
I'm always charmed by plush seats and disco-ball like lights.
Good Old Fashioned Mac N Cheese
Overeasy achieved a nice balance of cream cheese and macaroni without being over cloying, adored the biscuit crumbs scattered on top.
Beer Battered John Dory with Malt Vinegar Aioli
Their interpretation of Fish & Chips came without chips.
These fish fritters were in great portions, almost like thick cut fries...paired with a creamy dip, I enjoyed it while it lasted.
To Die For Burger
Homemade bun, specially ground chuck and special overeasy sauce
One more attempt at this and the conclusion is still the same: Overpriced Mcdonalds' Big Mac. The hay stack fries were seemingly skinnier though.
We had the pleasure of having models clad in Superwomen cloaks distributing Raspberry Vodka Jell-O Shots. Once upon a time Jell-O shots were all the rage in pubs and I remember now-defunct Suba at Millenia Walk being one of the few pubs that offered Jell-O shots. I gladly slurped down all three with the non-alcoholics shaking their heads in harmony. Tasted just like raspberry jelly with a punch of vodka at the end.
Cheesecake Creme Brulee
This had a molten consistency with a torched layer. More like liquid cheesecake, not that I minded that but it is acquired.
Discriminatory seating for the world cup. Unfortunate ones have the luck of watching the match reversed by sitting BEHIND the screen.
Not the best place to watch world cup with a min $60 per pax expenditure, neither was the food out of the world but the fireworks made it slightly more pleasant.
