Europe Chocolates

Forums have pointed me to supermarts for souvenirs and lugging home to nurse the cravings of the "Perfect 13 days". I would have loved to bring all the favourites blogged about if luggage space was not an issue. So here's the mini haul in the categories of chocolate from Brussels and Frankfurt and cheeses from Amsterdam. Now thinking back, I wish I bought caviar or pate back from Paris!

Delhaize White Chocolate with Cornflakes and Coconut

I was attracted by the flavour: Coconut. I always thought it was an asian flavour and the closest the westerners would get to it was Pina Colada.

Remember I mentioned that chocolates have their seasons too? Passionfruit was all the rage in the supermart chocolates though I did not get to try the equivalent in the gourmet chocolates.

Rittersport

I was thrilled to find yet another non-chocolate offering from Rittersport in the neighbourhoods of Germany's romantic towns.. Yes, I was grocery shopping nearly throughout. Thank goodness for the chilly temperatures that kept these chilled, lest I ended up with sachets of chocolate shakes. The light fruity fragrance of passionfruit gave fruit chocolate a nice twist, not too sour, not to sweet either...I actually liked it.

Ferrero Yogurette

The only flavour stocked locally is Strawberry and recently cherry. I adore how the flavours come together, bittersweet shells and delve further into a sour-tangy filling.
