Pork Katsu Toji Bento ($10.80)
Pork cutlet with special Japanese egg gravy.
Japanese bentos never fail to bring a smile at a glance..at least for an OL like me, eating in for lunch is a huge pain. The only thing that would make me sacrifice for an eat-in lunch is a yummy bento set, to say the least. This from Himawari smelt great, for starters. At least most who walked past me peered over and shot me an envious look.
Despite a dowdy starter of seaweed and shredded cabbage, it was delicious! Gyozas albeit lukewarm were meaty and palatable. Then came the pork katsu, crispy and meaty...with a pinch of lemon...it was oiishii (by bento box standard)!
Yes, I hungrily gobbled every crumb and grain.

Japanese bentos are definitely much better than catered food!
