Xing Ji Rou Cuo Mian @ 85 Fengshan Center

When every bak chor mee lover has tipped you off time and again about Blk 85 bak chor mee, there has to be something good about it...right?
What these lovers did not mention was, which stall!
The battle is clearly between Xing Ji and Seng Hiang.
When you've only have stomach space to try one, you either...

1) Count the number of food certificates
2) Observe the queue patterns
3) Make a guess

It was only after the meal that I realise Xing Ji specialises in soup and Seng Hiang dry. Each stall caters to a different crowd altogether. Nonetheless, I felt like going soupy, Xing Ji it had to be!

Another that made it to the Green Book's Best Of.

Springy dense noodle (Like Eng's Wanton Mee) that provided much bite and slurp-factor. The clear broth was tasty. The minced meat was too fine and machine processed meatballs failed to please the carnivore. I prefer tasting sliced pork in my bak chor mee.

Good, not great.
