Chwee kueh is what I was taught from the start. For old times' sake, every time I bypass a chwee kueh stall, a sense of nostalgia overwhelms in a melodramatic way. Toothpicks, brown paper with steaming chwee kueh and a pair of quivering hands, figuratively that's the way I'll always remember chwee kueh to be.
These rice cakes were lacking in density, the sesame peppered chye poh was delish however!
