Watching these two stalls fry up countless plates of local delights was plain therapeutic in a weird way. The hustle and bustle is endless, in a orderly manner. Ordering made easy by heading to either counter. In an almost mechanic way, the cooks clang the wok in harmony, fill the plates or styrofoam boxes and continues the next order.
Hokkien Mee ($3)
Its pale appearance is certainly not an indication of its taste. Smooth twirls of noodles soaking in gravy, the wok hei is well captured in the dish. Fresh seafood and pork cubes brings out the full taste of this dish. Even when eaten cold, this was equally delightful. If there's a local equivalent of seafood pasta, this has to be it.

My friends love the bak chor mee there. And oh, a friend told me yesterday that the porridge is good too, but I have no idea how is it like myself!
ReplyDeleteheh the bak chor mee is really decent! 85 Fengshan Center's one of my favourite hawker centers for the variety of fabulous food! I can find like a dozen other reasons to return. ;P
