Adams Peanut Butter is highly raved over, I had to get one bottle regardless! I went ahead with 'creamy' though I would have much preferred the more sought after 'crunchy'. A layer of vegetable oil coats the peanut butter like a cloak and you need to stir it in. The after result's that of a watery smooth peanut butter with granulated peanuts within.
Some history about Adams, they were founded in 1916 and was acquired by Smuckers in 1998 (surprise, surprise!).
"All of our peanut butter products contain NO added sugar, NO hydrogenated oils and 0 grams of Trans Fatty acids." Their promise to consumers. Well indeed, they lived up to it. Adams' peanut butter's worlds apart as compared to the regular commercialised Smuckers/Skippy's. Skippy's for instance is thicker and sweeter. Adams PB is more wholesome with a nutty aftertaste. Sure enough, without sugar the taste needs some getting used to. I've been lathering my toasts, min jiang kuehs and even cookies with this diligently!
Three ranges: Organic, No Stir, Natural.
