A thoughtful friend remembered me in her travels through food. Bemused me greatly when she dished out the goodies from her bag. Always feels good being remembered somehow!

Salami Con Cinghiale (ching-GYAH-lay) means "Wild Boar” in Italian. The sweet gf bought this from a town in Italy, supposed to be their signature there.

The frozen white fats were blatantly staring at me when I opened the pack. It is an acquired taste, salty, chewy with an oily finish. It's tougher on the bite as compared to the salami hams I've eaten locally. The parents steered clear of it totally. Even when eaten with sandwiches, the taste is overbearing.

Laduree! Pity they weren't macarons but the packaging's awww-soo-pretty! Dark and Milk chocolate packages within the box. Ultimate smoothness but yet to topple Godiva, for a benchmark.
