This "Sweet Potato Balls" shop at Maxwell only opens after 2pm and all attempts so far have proved futile..imagine the sheer joy when I popped by one evening and they were open!
These were pre-fried which is a pity, somehow I feel that the taste of food freshly fried changes when left to cool.

The sweet potato ball dough was chewy like mochi, just lacking the certain density the latter had. Other than that, these are really just miniature ham jim pangs, a blast from the past. Flavours wise, I adored the bean versions to coconut and peanut. Great for snacks as these bite-sized lil things are easy to pop in the mouth.
