Hawker centre Minjiangkuehs are as irresistible as fried doughsticks. Chanced upon "Pandan Pancake" at Maxwell actually missing the name of the shop and headed straight for the pancakes. They have been "accredited" by Makansutra and if that's any gauge, they are supposedly "signed, chopped and sealed" delicious.
Once again I made a booboo by insisting on the "pandan pancake" while pointing to the greenbean when all of them are pandan pancakes much to the amusement of the auntie.
They serve four flavours of minjiangkueh; greenbean, redbean, coconut and peanut as well as ham jim pangs and dough butterflies.

The pancake is generally stiffer than the fluffy Jollibean ones, in fact those in a roll had more dough than the pancake largely due to the layers involved. The redbean and greenbean ones were comparatively more delicious than peanut. The tastebuds have been spoilt by Jollibean's fragrantly sinful peanut jam so when compared to a dry peanut spread, it is a vast difference. I adore how the runny redbean and greenbean paste goes so well with the pancake.
