Pocket friendly prices of local delights at Coffee & Toast with the same crazy crowds as almost every eatery within the vicinity. Think $3.50 bak chor mee, $1.50 popiah rolls...$1.60 kaya toasts.

Packed over lunch.

Popiah, $1.50/roll
At one glance, these popiah rolls are too wet. The lady had not drained the water from the turnip mix before plonking them into the popiah. Made of stewed turnip, eggs, a smear of chilli-peanut paste with garlic and a leafy lettuce. Found it too peanuty, sweet and "wet". Not a favourite.
It left me wishing I ordered the toast instead.
