J&Co @ Batam

I gave up on J&CO in SG after its standard nosedived a couple of months back, my favourite white-chocolate-peanut butter tasted so bad, the peanut butter was salty and watery, beat that! Anyhow, being in Batam (land of origin), I couldn't resist packing back some because

  1. They originated from Indonesia so if on home ground they don't taste nice, I can forget about eating them ever again.
  2. So cheap! Nearly half the price of those sold in SG. Unbelievable sometimes. A box of 12 sets you back by $7 depending on exchange rate that's effectively about 50 cents a pop!

Green Tea; The green tea paste does not have much of a green tea taste.

Mona Pisa; A surprise find! I used to scoff at people who chose the savoury donuts. Tastes really like pizza bread.

Alcapone; Almond and white chocolate, yum!

Snow White; Not a fan somehow, icing dusted donut with whipped cream.

Blueberry; Same as Mango, it's a dollop of jam on top of the donut.

Ice Thai Tea; New flavour! Reminiscent of the roadside Iced Tea in Bangkok. Otherwise, another sweet creamy concoction.

Mango; as above.

Why Nut; Now now, for good comparison..I am sold back to J&Co once again. A devilish combination of white chocolate and creamy peanut butter to the right sweetness and smoothness.

Chocolate; No comments.

Truth be told, their donuts are way better than before. The donuts are so fresh, you can taste the freshness with every bite. No oil smell nor taste. The parents are sold as well, that's a good enough testimony for Batam's J&Co.
