I've been lemming for that particular peanut butter cupcake I saw sitting prettily on display since forever...and alas! It increased price to $2.70, up from $2.50 just a week ago!? I should've just satisfied the craving there and then.
I had it re-heated, boy...it smells soooo good! I mistook the blobs on the peanut butter swirl to be peanuts...but they're not, just peanut butter made into "peanut" looking decoration. I tucked into ti heartily after lunch one day, moist, oily....decadent. Object of ultimate sin, which I cannot help but admit, after 3 colleagues passed me by and made the same comment.
The cake's very fragrant and soft, goes just perfect with the peanut butter frosting, would've been better if they had crushed peanuts sprinkled on top of it...rather than smooth peanut butter. That being said, I wasn't too gelak from the treat, in fact, was really satisfying and well worth every bite of calorie!
Now...the strawberry cupcake next? I'd say Spinelli's has not failed at each dessert attempt, ranks tops in the list of coffee joints.
