Saveur has been quite a regular hangout for lunch because of its fast service (though not always fabulous) and decently priced French fare.

Truffles Fries ($9.90)
Shoestring Fries, Shaved Parmesan Cheese

Twice we ordered this because it was the easiest for sharing, the escargots would have been just one bite each and the duck rilette would have been difficult to share.

Strong on fragrance and it ended up just a bowl of fries with truffle and cheese shavings.

Original Saveur Pasta ($10.90)
Chilli Oil, Chopped Kombu, Pork Sauce, Sakura Ebi

I guess this was what made Saveur such a hit in the days where chilled angel hair pasta was atas food. This comes in both appetizer and main portions with a generous serving of al dente pasta topped to chilli oil and sakura ebi.

All was fine until that tuna mayo topping which was absolutely superfluous. Like why and how but all is good otherwise.

Crispy Pork Belly ($17.90)
Pork belly, served on a bed of classic french lentil cassoulet (Stew lentil, bacon, mushroom, cabbage, poached egg)

If not for the mushrooms and hash, I would have considered this dish a "don't bother" with the soggy skin and well measly threeslices.

Signature Duck Confit ($16.90)
Mashed Potato, Sautéed Mushrooms, Orange Segment, Natural Jus

This dish alone is worth returning for, juicy and crispy duck confit with a dollop of mash. So yummy and well put together, this is another of my comfort places for good duck confit.

Saveur Duck Confit Burger ($16.90)
Saveur's Signature Duck Confit, Natural Jus, Melted Cheddar, Fried Onions, Bacon, Charcoal Black Buns

To be fair, before ordering this I had no clue what to expect, probably just a duck confit in a burger but this was a showcase of every dish's signature in a single burger which was strange when put together. The same tuna mayo that got under my skin appeared and the boneless duck confit was just perfect for me not wanting to deal with anymore bones.

Hits and misses at this affordable joint, stick to their signatures and be guaranteed of a belly good time.
