The last mooncake conquest this year goes to Golden Moments and truly, it was my last ditch attempt at stuffing a mooncake down the system to round the festival up.
I reckon all the gold dust gave them ample publicity this year - luxurious, decadent and until you freeze and thaw them.
So these are mine looking more bronze than the intended gold.
While the charcoal snowskin was slightly more polished than Chang Ho Sek's, the creaminess of pure durian pulp was missing. What I tasted was a watered down version of durian puree, ho-hum.
Looks like it will be back to the household names for my durian mooncake fix next year!
