Santa Fe Tex Mex Cuisine (Stewords Riverboat) @ Marina South

Marina South is a rather neglected part of Singapore and the only memory I have of it is the row of steamboat places with throngs of people every single weekend. I remember heading there once because of the television advertisement that promoted lobsters bigger than a 4 year old girl. Those steamboat sessions were far from great, infact super duper bad but those were great memories.

Tex Mex 7 Layer Party Dip ($22)
Mexican refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, pico de galo, chives, black olives, unlimited chips

The party dip was less inviting, rather we were all sold on "unlimited chips" which was really just freshly fried nacho chips. Too much cream and the other ingredients were somewhat lost in the mount of cream. Otherwise, those chips are great for just nibbling on, even without the dip.

Classic Caesar Salad and Grilled Chicken ($18)
Romaine lettuce, caesar dressing

I've never had a bad caesar salad, and this was delicious too. Grilled chicken with caesar dressing drizzled salad leaves, sold!

Santa Fe BBQ Baby Back Ribs ($32)
Louisiana Hot Sauce

I was looking forward to some heat and hopefully a fiery good time since they were brushed with hot sauce. The spice level was comfortable, infact, almost negligible but those ribs are worth risking a motion sickness episode for - meaty, tasty and fall off the bone satisfying.

Steak Gaucho ($35)
Chimichurri Sauce, potato wedges, grilled vegetables

Trust the ship chefs to whip up a perfectly medium rare piece of steak.

Service was top notch and food definitely surprised me so I would be back for sure. Just be mindful that those with motion sickness should tread carefully.
