I never believed in staycations much, until going overseas was more of a hassle and spent more money than desired. There are a number of properties on our island that deserves a mention too!
Whisked off to W Hotel to celebrate one of the many milestones and this had to be the furthest we ventured on Sentosa Island.
This had to be one of the most leisurely staycations attempted, we did not move an inch from our hotel and everything was consumed on premise - all thanks to the Chasing Skirt Package that comes with a
- 4 course set dinner at Skirt
- Breakfast at The Kitchen Table
Anyhow, check-in was a breeze at mid day and we were upgraded from a Wonderful Room to Fabulous Room. I suppose a South China sea view instead of the island view was the main difference?
The side table that greeted me when I entered the room.
Oh, hello!
Mood lighting and the exceptionally large pillows made me extra excited about the room - more than the open concept shower, actually. The bed albeit soft was actually really comfy, I had a good night's sleep.
I got quite excited watching the colours change and like a child, played around with the switches a fair bit.
The tub did seem a tad small for both of us to soak, sucha selfish tub!
Amenities.
Bliss range of amenities and I loved it! Citrusy smelling range.
Croak, croak.
For the adventurous, the stay comes with a slew of benefits, including complimentary parking and a single pass to explore the island.
The mini bar revealed - bummer, no coffee machine in sight!
Thank you W Hotel for the special touch, and happy dating anniversary. Our doors were knocked on quite regularly by their chambermaids to offer refills of towels, bottles of water and nearly everything else.
Like the other W concepts, there are snacks and fruit infused water provided all day long - great for the snacker like me.
Looking like a kancang putih corner.
These pods are made for nua-ing.
From the basement, each floor has a couple of these.
The iconic candy structure.
Perhaps a dip in the inviting pool on one of those inflatable floats would have made the stay more of a resort one, I was primarily there to lie all day in bed and eat so I've achieved my purpose. Unfortunately, this did not make the mark for favouritest hotel on Sentosa Island - rooms were a tad tired, water marks spotted on the tubs and generally lacking in the vibrance I would expected of a six star property. That said, I satisfied my curiosity of staying in a W property.
