Having been to Salt Tapas and Bar countless times, it still baffles me why this place is under the radar for brunch.
Taco of Tempura with Soft Shell Crab, Pineapple Salsa, Wasabi Mayo ($14, 2 pieces)
Always a must order, I never seem to tire of eating tacos with tempura. Every element in this morsel works from the salsa to mayo and that incredibly crispy soft shell crab and taco shell. Mamma mia, they should have this in main portions.
Spanish Omelette with Spicy Sauce ($15)
My favourite from the brunch menu, still as gratifying as ever. Move over poached eggs, spanish omelettes are the champs.
Scallops, Pancetta Crisp, Green Tomato Chutney, Apple Chives ($25)
I would have expected the dishes listed under "Sea" category would be made for sharing given how large the portions of the prawn and papaya salad and even grilled day fish are. This was unfortunately puny with just three scallops though perfectly seared and the popping flavours that made this dish shine.
A petite brunch it ended up for three of us, I'd return to Salt Tapas and Bar in a heartbeat for sure.
