~Invited Session~
Tien Court's Master Chef Ho Tien Tsai and his team hopes to impress diners with a lavish selection of auspicious creations and traditional goodies this Year of the Monkey!
The very welcoming entrance!
This delicious XO sauce had us eating out of the saucer even before dinner began!
Prosperity Swordfish and Salmon Yu Sheng $68 (M), $98 (L)
On top of salmon and swordfish, lobster and abalone are also offered as part of the yusheng repertoire. More meat to fight over and toss in my opinion!
I always make a dive for the crackers - the most auspicious bit of this theatrical experience.
Prosperity Pen Cai $298 (M), $488 (L)
Heated on site and portioned, this deliciosu pen cai has the full traditional works going on - fish maw, whole abalone, roast pork, chicken, mushroom, black moss and finally cabbage. Hearty and possibly just good enough for a meal on its own with a bowl of steamed rice.
Spot the goose web!
Double Boiled Superior Shark's Fin in Shark's Cartilage Soup
This dish will not go down well at all by divers yet a popular choice this festive season. Milky broth that soothes the stomach especially during such artery clogging and stomach filling meals.
Steamed Glutinous Rice with Preserved Minced Meat wrapped in Lotus Leaf $32.80 (S), $42.80 (M), $52.80 (L)
This takes the cake for best glutinous rice - none of the sticky and starchy mass that most overcooked glutinous rice dishes have. Grainy and well flavoured with the fragrance of lotus leaf, seconds I do not mind at all!
Sauteed Lobster with Foie Gras Sauce
I can never say no to lobsters, and that foie gras sauce too. So yummy.
Fried Nian Gao
Chilled Snow Pear with Red Wine
A tweak on the usual CNY dessert fare, snow pears poached in red wine for the non-classics. Refreshing and luscious bites to put any indigestion pangs at bay.
For home cooks who would like to take a break this year, takeaway set menus are available from $408 for 6 persons! It includes Prosperity Yu Sheng, Prosperity Pen Cai, BBQ Combination of Roast Pork, Duck and BBQ Pork and Steamed Glutinous Rice with Preserved Meat!
