It is no secret that Dutch Colony has opened another outlet in civilization - considering how hidden their Pasarbella outlet is. Hooray to the Easties with yet another cafe to add to the hood, it was almost full when I visited on a Sunday morning.
A journey to the West to suss out its other outlet - read about my experience there.
Salmon Avo Toastie
Smashed avocado with smoked salmon on two halves of toasted bread did not quite work its magic on me, if anything, this came across as bland.
Ham and cheese in a butter croissant did not go wrong, that being said, can it ever go wrong?
French Toast with the works of bananas and bacon.
Prices as I remember are reasonable for a cafe, mostly under $15 for mains and under $10 for desserts. Clearly outsourced, there was a range of layered cakes and loaf cakes like Thai Iced Tea and Peanut Butter Banana. Served warm and great for sharing.
I do welcome another addition to the cafe scene in the East but surely, there has to be something more that they can offer on top of bakes and sandwich toppings.
