This gelato shop a stone's throw from the Ponte Vecchio has been creating waves in the gelato industry. They were awarded the Certificate of Excellence 2013 by Tripadvisor and have been placing Florence on the map for good gelato.

The shop is small and quaint so queues do form outside the shop quite easily. The number of flavours available are surprisingly many and I was actually attracted to the handdrawn flavour tags.

Chestnut, Cream (2 EUR)
Too pretty to ignore. We had it on a sugar cone and a classic and seasonal flavour. If GROM had to take hte lead for best gelato, this is hot on the heels. The flavours were rich and full bodied, tasting exactly like the real thing without the finishing between cloyingly sweet.
