Love Bites has been around at Joo Chiat for the longest time and for some reason I never stepped in to try despite the raving reviews for their salted caramel butter cookies.
So then the opportunity arose to try them, and try I did.
Salted Caramel Butter ($18)
Homemade salted caramel, organic seasalt
These remind me of thumbprint cookies - the layer of salted caramel is more defining of the melt in the mouth cookie with a nice balance of salty and sweet.
Berry Nutty ($20)
This came across as more of a raisin cookie than nutty one - forgettable.
Chai Tea Cranberries ($20)
Gryphon tea, air dried cranberries
Cranberry cookies in short.
Double D Chocolate Chip ($20)
Dark chocolate ganache, 60% dark chocolate chip
Double D for double decadence in this dense chocolate delight, my main grouse was the bite sized portions that makes sin puny. I probably have to polish off the whole pack to feel good enough about the sin.
Artisan cookies to some regard, terribly expensive too. Their cookies generally have the melt in mouth consistency and my favourite remains fiercely Salted Caramel Butter.
These are all available for Christmas so these may come in handy in your selections! Other regular flavours will not be available during 1st November 2013 to 31 December 2013.
