I am still getting invites for Big Days - so no sign of upgrading to the next chapter as yet. End of year tends to be a hot period for weddings and until now, I have yet to visit the higher end hotels (yes the pocket will hurt but visiting Shang three times in a year is no fun either #flashbackweddinghorrors ) Second time back at Conrad, the experience still remains good!

Looking like dinner, infact all wedding meals are associated with night for me. Such a strange feeling to step out of a banquet meal and realise it is still so bright.

A rarity to receive edible wedding favours - I used to think that fruit cake was straight off from the three tier cake on stage.

Not too impressive fruit cake, chocolates were better.
The great thing about weddings at conrad is, dishes are individually plated and saves the trouble of a server panicking at the table and risk massacring a dish before my very eyes - behind the scenes usually works better for me.

Cold dish combination
Golden fried beancurd skin roll with seafood, mini octopus, jellyfish and sushi
Nothing too memorable save for the piping hot fried beancurd skin with shrimp paste.

Baby Abalone
Double boiled with chicken, chinese cabbage, bamboo pith, wild mushroom
Spot the baby abalone that made the dish worth giving up shark's fin for.

Steamed Seabass Hongkong Style
I know a fresh fish when I meet one and here's it - if only tummy space had enough for seconds.

Roasted Chicken with Minced Garlic
The usual poultry dish and I actually had more interest in the crackers and wings.

Braised 'Ling Zhi' mushroom with Scallop served with Seasonal Green
All hail the greens - these were a tad acidic on the tongue so the oyster mushrooms and scallops were the bomb for me.

Drunken Prawn with Herbs
Delicious friends of the sea - so good, I slurped up the gravy.

Stir-fried Japanese Ramen with Assorted Seafood
Too sweet and saucy.

Chilled Lemongrass-flavoured Jelly with Aloe Vera, Diced Mango and Strawberry
I stayed specially for dessert - a refreshing alternative to red bean soup or yam paste.
Overall decent food and a lovely wedding to witness. Conrad's one of the few hotels that gives the entire foyer for the ballroom - pluspoint actually! Congrats C and P once again!
