I never knew that Chilli Padi had an outlet in this farflung a location of Singapore. Infact, locating it was harder than expected. Nonetheless, since it was a private event, the restaurant was obviously bustling with people and even with it, there were members of the public streaming in for their dinner too. I have no idea how they ensure there are no freeloaders without barricades nor verification.
There were a number of live stations which caused a bit of queue.

How about some mee siam?
The rest of the spread.

Live stations that made the spread a wee bit more interesting and at this juncture I was stopped from taking anymore photos as it was against their policy - ho hum, and I can take pictures of those taken to the table?

Every peranakan meal is not complete with achar!

D.I.Y Kueh Pai Ti w Condiments
Nothing too special, though what made it interesting was trying to balance the shells and filling them with turnip and chilli.
Signature Nonya Mee Siam (w/Gravy)
I have had memorable meesiam at their catered events but this fellshort of any expectations - a poor watery rendition of what they are capable of.
Laksa
Also another watered down rendition of the real deal, I was most interested in the deshelled prawns.
Kong Bak Pau
I never knew that this was peranakan and a fairly moderate attempt.

Rojak
I probably will not make the cut for a rojak seller - mine turned out too wet!
Sweet and Sour Duck Soup
Decent soup amidst the variety of dishes.

Signature Curry Chicken
Maybe some roti would be great with this and without much spice, this would be an ideal number for children.
Curry Assam Ikan
I made a favourite out of this strangely, crispy fish fillets doused in savoury tangy curry. Rice with this would be just perfect for a meal.
Beef Rendang
Savoury Kueh platter
I found it interesting to find chee cheong fun, yam cake and chwee kueh available.
Nonya Chap Chye w Black Mushroom
A signature peranakan dish that I am usually not big on.
Nonya Kueh
The selection of kueh got me excited, especially rainbow lapis - I would consider it childhood food that I still adore today.

Surabaya Cake
The fastest to be depleted from the buffet table, spongy butter and chocolate layer cake.

Six Flavour Cheng Tng
Decently good hot dessert, the bowls were small enough to warrant more than seconds.
The last time I attempted their high tea buffet at North Bridge Road which left little for returns and eating more dessert than mains. Likewise this visit, the dessert was also more outstanding.
